100th Post Muthaf"""ers! jel anticon sweetcreaminit live bedroom mix

And they said it couldn't be done! We've reached 100 posts and rising. Well done and good work from the man like Fatty G and his exploding universe of all things eclectic, also a small pat on the back to me, who without my cheese sandwiches we couldn't have made it.

So then again you might be saying well done for what? Posting 100 things on your blog? Hey look buddy the average lifespan of a blog is just a few months and most don't get past their first ten posts - so while there's crates to dig and wonderous music out there - we'll be about.
Stay tuned for more goodness, and check out this video of how to rock an MPC, hopefully we'll have some Sasqwax on here at some point, so you can see how it's done in the UK
Fresh!

Fatty Ghettoblaster - Black Ops One

Its been a great year for all things bassline, So in celebration a round up of some of this years tasty treats mixed by the Chubby Tapedeck with a few old wobblers thrown in for added all round beefyness. The stuff from Boxcutter and Burial has been outstanding this year with great LPs and 12's by them pushing electronic music in new directions whilst taking from sounds of the past as all great forward thinking musicians always have done. In the words of Derrick May "The true renegades will always walk alone . . . . "

The Deviants - All 3 LPs (1967 - 69)

Out of the Ladbroke Grove UK Underground Community, a number of bands would emerge. Perhaps the most anarchistic band of the Underground was the Deviants founded and fronted by singer/writer Mick Farren, the Social Deviants, later just the Deviants, made three bizarre albums in two years. Mick Farren states that The Deviants were a community band which "did things every now and then - it was a total assault thing with a great deal of inter-relation and interdependence". Musically, Farren described the Deviants as "teeth-grinding, psychedelic rock" somewhere between the Stooges and The Mothers of Invention [1].
After the Deviants folded in 1969, Farren recorded a solo album, Mona, with a short-lived
Pink Fairies line-up that featured ex-Pretty Things drummer/singer Twink and Steve Peregrin Took. When this first Pink Fairies fell apart and Twink ran off with the name to form Pink Fairies mark 2, Farren initially considered continuing to work with Steve Took using the band name Steve Took's Shagrat with Larry Wallis. Took and Farren fell out so it didn't happen.
Many of the band members for the Deviants and the Pink Fairies were interchangeable and both names have been used for various one-offs over the years. In February 1984, Farren was joined by ex-
Pink Fairies member Larry Wallis and original Deviant (as well as Pink Fairies member) Duncan Sanderson. They were billed as the Deviants and played a London gig at Dingwalls which was released as the album Human Garbage. Mick Farren's latest incarnation of the Deviants, Dr Crow, in 2002 which opens up with the title track "When Dr Crow Turns On His Radio".

Pink Fairies - Kings of Oblivion (1973)

The 3rd and final Fairies LP that has some simply superb guitar playing on it and is the most acomplished of all their albums. This is also the LP that features future Motorhead guitarist Larry Wallis who had replaced the great Paul Rudolph and it gives you a taster of things to come when he got back together with Lemola for some no nonsense heads down boogie.
Tracklisting :
01. "City Kids" (Wallis/Sanderson)
02. "I Wish I Was A Girl" (Wallis)
03. "When's The Fun Begin" (Wallis/Mick Farren)
04. "Chromiun Plating" (Wallis)
05. "Raceway" (Wallis)
06. "Chambermaid" (Wallis/Sanderson/Hunter)
07. "Street Urchin" (Wallis)
08. "Well, Well, Well" (Single Version) (Wayne)
09. "Hold On" (Single Version) (Wayne/Sanderson/Hunter)
10. "City Kids" (Alternate Mix)
11. "Well, Well, Well" (Alternate Mix)

Pink Fairies - What a Bunch of Sweeties (1972)

All hail the kings of the Freeks !!! Without doubt my favorite of all guitar bands "The Pink Fairies" and this is their second LP from 1972 and probably the best as far as production is concerned. They rose from the ashes of The Deviants fronted by Mick Farren and flew the freak flag higher than any other british band. They cant remember making the 3rd Deviants LP as they were so wired on Crystal Meth (They were Londons main dealers of it along with the Hells Angels) and dope :D Lord knows what their shared house must have been like although there is a story of a police bust that found the band and a young David Bowie off their shitters on Acid dressed as women posing on the roof with their cocks out heh heh. The playing on this LP is a constant inspiration to us at Rebelbass and this LP one of the best of the forgotten classics.
!! UP THE PINKS !!
Tracklisting :
01. "Prologue" (Pink Fairies)
02. "Right On Fight On" (Pink Fairies)
03. "Portobello Shuffle" (Pink Fairies)

05. "Pigs Of Uranus" (Pink Fairies/Shelton)
06. "Walk Don't Run" (Smith)
07. "I Went Up, I Went Down" (Pink Fairies)
08. "X-Ray" (Pink Fairies)
09. "I Saw Her Standing There" (Lennon/McCartney)
